The Spotsylvania Republican Women's Club meeting, held on February 17th, 2014 was highly successful! It was the first meeting to be held at our new location, the Chanellor Ruritan Club and we got to hear from quite a few fantastic speakers.
President Laura Morris presented the 2014 SRWC goals of growing the membership, unifying Republicans after the GOP State Convention, and beating the Democrats in the 2014 elections.
We heard a speech on the economic problems facing Capital Hill from our guest speaker of the night, Dr. Dave Brat, a professor of economics at Randolph-Macon College.
We also heard from three Spotsylvania County Supervisors:
Courtland District Supervisor David Ross spoke briefly about the Spotsylvania county budget and upcoming EPA regulations.
Salem District Supervisor Paul Trampe spoke about the importance of attending public hearings.
Chancellor District Supervisor Tim McLuaghlin gave us a brief update on the status of the Spotsylvania Courthouse Bypass project.
Spostylvania County Public School Board member, Erin Grampp, gave a quick update on the Spostylvania County School budget.
